What’s Next? Crafting A Compelling CTA

page 24 2

You’ve written a blog article and you’re ready to hit publish. You just know your readers will love it. Before you actually hit that publish button, take a minute and think about what you want your readers to do when they’re done reading your article.

What do you want them to do next?

You have quite a few options at your disposal that you may want your audience to do for you. Maybe you want them to leave you a comment on your blog or social media page. You may want them to share your article on their timelines on Facebook or Twitter. You might also want them to read another article of yours, related or not.

What if you want them to sign up for your email list? Or maybe you want them to buy something (either your own product or something you’re an affiliate for)?

This is not an all-inclusive list, but we have the major, most used actions covered.

Never Leave ‘Em Hanging

The one thing you don’t want to do is leave them hanging at the end. Not only is it not beneficial to you if all they do is “x” out of your blog, you’re also doing your readers a disservice if you leave them hanging.

You’re taking them on a journey with your article, now tell them what they should do next. It’s part of your job as a business blogger. This is how you achieve your end game!
